Enhance Your Career and Wealth Luck for 2015!

The North (337°-22.5°) direction, or sector, of your home or office represents your Career and Life Path. It is your journey through life.

The North is Water energy. Water is how we get from one place to another. It enhances communication and allows for flexibility. How many times have you heard, “Just go with the flow”? Water can also be unpredictable. At times we can feel like we’re in over our head and other times feel like the well has dried up.

Feng Shui is a way in which to interpret energy. For instance, some people read palms, some read cards, and some pick their lucky number, while some just follow their gut.

To start some simple feng shui right now, find the North area of your room, your home, or office, or whatever space you want to bring your attention. Maybe it’s all of them. Take a look at this space and see if this space is reflecting your intentions for a...

Walk My Talk

I’m almost 50 years old and I’m still seeking for my dad’s approval. For him to see me, really see me. And value me for who I am. To the contrary, I teach my children that it doesn’t matter what I think or their dad thinks or what any one else thinks about them.

Once in a while, though, especially with my parents, I get this courageous energy that rises up from within. I send off an email in an attempt to stand my ground and open my heart and soul. But instead of creating a connection through my vulnerability, it creates a push back that feels so distant that I feel like a little girl again. Just yearning for my dad to see me.

Over the years, it was much easier to keep the peace by keeping my mouth shut. Allowing him to have free reign to say and do whatever he wishes… no matter how hurtful. He is quick to judge. Quick to complain. And quick to separate himself from others.

I’m...

Extremism – Part I

Field.jpg

We live on a planet of duality. We have a north and a south, a day and a night, male and female, past and future. It is only natural that people feel motivated to choose one over the other. It’s a subconscious, magnetic pull. They are either the night owl or the morning person, they dwell on the past or can’t wait for the future. The current culture and human behavior of the world is becoming more and more extreme. Just turn on the news, right? CNN vs FOX News, left vs right, good vs evil, me vs them.

It’s a natural cycle that creates a space where the scales can be tipped so that ultimately (balance) or harmony can be achieved. I use “balance” lightly, as to me, when things are balanced, there is no movement. Which only creates stagnation and leads to more extremism in order to motivate change. Harmony seems to be a more fitting term, as when the choir is in harmony… truly amazing...

Extremism – Part II: IN YOUR FACE

extreme.jpg

Listen to the young people. Your children. They have come in as Spiritual Warriors willing to take on the inner battles we have created. The battles that show up on the news every night that are reflecting the war inside us. The duality, the self-deprecation, the judgment, the fear, the anxiety, the self-doubt and the mind games. They move into our families to shift our paradigm. To move us back to our center. To remind us to listen to our heart and inner voice to guide our choices, not the demands and expectations of a society gone astray. They want us to joyfully guide them in ways that encourage, inspire and love unconditionally, rather than the battlefields we choose to step into each day.

When we don’t see them, when we drag them into our world, when we don’t listen to what they are saying… what their hearts and desperate souls are trying to tell us… we leave them no choice. As...

Ten Spiritual Lessons for a New World

SpiritualLessons.jpg

Happy New World (Year)! I wish to share with you this well thought out message that seems so fitting for the times. Where Gandhi proclaimed the infamous phrase “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” I feel Amoda Maa Jeevan is highlighting how we can accomplish just that. I don’t know how you feel, but I feel there are some remarkable quotes being passed around the social media platform these days. While the best of intentions are placed in passing along such inspirations, we often don’t digest the message or really even know where to begin to allow the message to inspire us. Perhaps you can begin with one of the lessons here. Enjoy – TF

A Timeless Song

supertramp-breakfast-in-america-album-cover.jpg

Just driving home this morning from dropping my daughter off at school, listening to my favorite radio station, 70s on XM. It was honestly the first time I ever listened, not just sang along, but truly “heard” the lyrics of The Logical Song by Supertramp. It’s not like it was my first time hearing the song. I always envied my girlfriend in high school, as she had an amazing Marantz stereo system in her Colorado bedroom and was always spinning the newest releases. We would hang out in her room after school listening to Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Supertramp and the like.

But today, over 30 years later, this Supertramp song touched me in a new way. I see why the song resonated with me then, but understand more why it resonates with me now. I have spent a great deal of my life wondering this same question “Won’t you please, please tell me what we’ve learned”...

Wisdom Through the Ages

wisdomThroughTheAges.jpg

As I reflect and assess how I relate with others, whether up-close and personal, or unknown and from a distance, I feel we each have two major roles in which we live. These roles are a clear reflection of the yin and yang qualities that govern this planet of duality. Sure, I am a woman. A wife and a mom. A friend, an entrepreneur, a feng shui consultant, and many other roles that summarize who I am and what I do. But ultimately, the way in which I interact with others is one of two ways. I am either The Teacher or The Student.

Simple, right? Oh, it was quite obvious who the teacher was, as I remember sitting in my 5th grade classroom with Mr Shaw. It was 1976, he ran a strict classroom and if I had any inclination at all that I was anything other than a student, there would be a price to pay. You know what I mean. Children were to be seen, not heard.

“I was to be seen, not heard.”...

My Connection to Spirit

spiritConnection.jpg

As a child, the only prayer I knew was the bedtime prayer, “Now I lay me down to sleep… .” I remember lying there listening to the words I said out loud, analyzing them to understand why I was reciting such a prayer. It’s a somber prayer, but my childhood was quite unstable and there was much solitude and depression in my own thoughts and feelings. So it seemed fitting.

Through the years, my prayers, or my talk, to the “Heavens” expanded into questions. Mainly, “Why?” But, I truly didn’t know who I was directing these inquiries to. I had dismissed the larger-than-life old guy with the long, white beard sitting on a throne of clouds, and found myself trusting that something, or someone, “out there” had to be listening to me! It’s all I had. No human was giving me the time or energy, so trusting that there was someone out there that understood my purpose greater than me, was all I had...
